PWMC started in June 2020 with morning and evening (Outpatient Department) OPD only. Initially, our Alumni Doctors started it, and later permanent doctors were hired.
A nominal fee of Rs 50 is charged from the patients so that their self-respect could be kept intact. Those that cannot afford the fee are provided relief from the Zakat fund.
This meager amount covers the doctors’ salary, the cost of medicine, and any other health care related items necessary for the wellbeing of the patient.
Medical equipment, beds, medicine and a brand new ambulance were provided by the donors to start the venture.
Donor funds were also used to purchase furniture and PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) for doctors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The paramedical staff and doctors are friendly and provide their services with dedication for the sake of humanity.
The general facilities provided to the patients are OPD, keeping the patient in observation in case of emergency, administering drips, cannula insertion etc.
A gynaecology clinic has been set up in a separate room built for this purpose. A dedicated gynecologist along with support staff is working to provide gynae care for ladies in need.
